A double pager

Did a double page layout this time, I seem to need it when I’m doing soccer pictures, I just take so many! I also don’t really like to cut my pictures down too much, sticking with a 4×6 generally, however, a few of these were trimmed down to fit. Here is the general layout.

I am still using up some really old stash items. One of them is this metal embellishment but I still like it, and wanted to use it, so I did. I hope you are doing that too, we will talk more about this in 2014, I have some stash using ideas.

Then this picture which shows the drops of mist I used on the layout. They added a bit of colour but also gave the subtle feeling of mud spraying during a soccer game.

I am happy to get some more pictures scrapped. I plan to do even more next year!

Have you taken some time off?

Have you taken some time off scrapbooking? Are you interested in getting back into it but maybe having a little trouble getting started? I know the feeling, I have done that myself, I understand. We stop for a variety of reasons, health, cost, emotional, whatever the reason, I’m glad you are here.

And I’m going to make a suggestion. Check out CKC, seriously. Each month they duplicate a monthly kit from your stash. Yes, from the supplies you already have. You will also learn how to counterfeit some of the items as well. The thing about this is, it keeps expenses down, it gives you some guidelines as to where to start, and there is no right or wrong, just a creative outlet for you.

Here is the first layout I’ve done using my November Counterfeit Kit. I really wanted to use that Fancy Pants owl I’ve had forever, so I’m very pleased I could. So many items in my kit this month are older items, but I still like them so its great to be able to use them up.

This close up shows some layers, the very cute fabric Amy tangerine label and that orange enamel dot…..I made it. Yup, did too. You can make some, they aren’t difficult at all.

This one shows more layers again, plus some of the different textures, paper, fabric, wood, and again, a couple of homemade enamel dots.

So if you have taken some time off, seems to be a lot of us out there, welcome back. I’m glad you are here. Take a look at your supplies and see if you can play along this month. Don’t worry if your stash is old, look at some of the supplies I’m using! Lets just get some creativity going and enjoy scrapping again.

Second layout!

I am so happy to have another one done! yay! Again using some older product I have been hoarding. I am thrilled to be finally using it! I also managed to use the chipboard frame on here. I didn’t really want to add colour to it, but I felt it needed something so I did add some rub ons that weren’t originally in my kit. I just used bits and pieces of the rub ons along the edge of the frame for a little something extra.

First layout from my September kit

Here is the first layout using my September kit. These pictures are so old! I am happy to finally get them in an album. I also used up my border strip on this layout so that’s great too. The travel theme worked with these pictures, so I was able to bring it together pretty quick.
